What People Are Saying

I know that choosing a provider can be an overwhelming task. I hope these testimonials help you get an idea of what working with me is like through the words of former clients.

“I chose the midwife model of care for my first baby, not realizing how life-changing the experience would be. Mariah was an essential part of that impact and gave me hope for what healthcare could feel like. She is thorough, trusting, and, above all, collaborative. She believed me when others didn’t, and without that, I would not have had the profound birth experience that I did. Her passion and deep knowledge of midwifery and female-centered health are distinct and create a space where you feel genuinely cared for. I will choose a homebirth for my next baby because I will go wherever she goes. Mariah is truly a blessing to this community; my family and I are endlessly grateful for her.”

“Having you as my midwife has changed not only the way I think about birth and healthcare, but who I am as a woman and mother. I have learned so much from you about leaning into my own intuition. Through pregnancy, birth, to postpartum you always made me feel safe, seen, validated and confident in every decision. You took the time to address every concern, answer every question so thoughtfully. Always including my husband in the process and making sure his concerns were heard as well. Nothing was ever rushed. I never felt like just another patient to you, I felt truly loved and cared for having you as my provider. My birth was long and hard, but also so special and magical. Through every stage no matter how intense it got, I never felt any fear. I feel that was due to having a great team around me, and you helping me understand to trust my body and my baby to guide me through. I am so grateful for our beautiful experience together that we get to carry with us for life.”

“Mariah’s energy was so calming and grounding, while also being the firm advocate that my sister needed at the time. Thank you for not only keeping her and baby safe, but also safeguarding her emotional wellbeing in the most graceful way imaginable.“

“I’ve been thinking about what to write, and it’s hard to fully put into words how much you meant to me during the birth of my first child. As a first time mom, I had no experience and no idea how intense and overwhelming childbirth could be. When the pain became more than I thought I could bear, I truly felt like I couldn’t go on. In that moment, you were there steady, calm, and so compassionate. You let me lean on you, both physically and emotionally, and you kept encouraging me when I had no strength left.

I still remember looking into your blue eyes and seeing such genuine care and reassurance. Your presence made me feel safe, seen, and supported in one of the most vulnerable moments of my life. Because of you, I found the courage to bring my baby into the world. You weren’t just doing your job that day you were a witness to a turning point in my life, and a huge part of it. I will always be grateful for the kindness, strength, and confidence you gave me when I needed it most.”

“I had a few prenatal visits with Mariah, she always gave me time and space to ask questions and gave thoughtful and clearly educated answers to any questions or fears. However, the true beauty of Mariah’s care was truly shown when my water had broken almost 12 hours earlier but my labor hadn’t started. I went in for a NST. She saw me struggling to not cry and encouraged me to let the tears flow, as it released cortisol and would actually make me feel better. It’s something I carry with me to this day. When labor did start, Mariah was incredibly comforting and good at explaining what was going on. She had an intuitive understanding of what I needed and listened to me in a way I’ve never had a healthcare professional do.

When my placenta needed a manual removal, she rode in the ambulance with me. Once again, taking the time to make sure I understood things and explaining everything that was being done to me. I truly felt like I had someone who cared not only about my physical wellbeing, but my entire wellbeing with me. I hold no trauma from my experience, and I owe that in great part to Mariah and the way she explained, advocated and truly cared for me as a person. Anyone would be lucky to get to experience her care in prenatal, birth and postpartum.”

Mariah is a true gem to the coast. Her love and compassion make you feel so cared for. Prenatal care and birth is such an intimate time, it is a gift to have a midwife there to give you time and space. She makes you feel confident and calm during such a wild time. I have had her by my side for 2 births and 2 losses, she is a tremendous comfort that I am forever grateful for. I would recommend her to everyone I know.

Mariah is truly a gift. I came to her for IUD related care and from the moment I started working with her she made sure I felt heard, respected and comfortable. Mariah was very intentional about creating an environment where I felt safe and supported, and she transformed something I feared into a beautiful and affirming experience. I’m so grateful for her care and would recommend her without hesitation.
